Island

An island is a piece of land completely surrounded by water, unless it’s just a really big puddle that no one wants to walk through.

Islands are often romanticized as tropical paradises, full of coconuts, palm trees, and sun-kissed beaches. However, some islands can also be cold, barren, and home to really angry birds.

One of the most famous islands in the world is Hawaii, known for its stunning scenery, delicious food, and the ability to wear a hula skirt without being judged. Another famous island is Alcatraz, known for housing some of America’s most dangerous criminals, and as the setting for the movie “Escape from Alcatraz,” which taught us all that Clint Eastwood can escape from anything.

Islands are also known to be popular tourist destinations, with visitors flocking to places like Bali, Jamaica, and the Maldives. But, let’s be real, the only island we really care about is Isla Nublar, home to the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park.

If you’re lucky enough to live on an island, you get to enjoy things like fresh seafood, ocean views, and the occasional power outage from a tropical storm. You also get to deal with things like limited resources, high prices for imported goods, and the constant threat of being invaded by pirates (or tourists, same thing).

So, the next time you find yourself on an island, take a moment to appreciate its unique beauty and quirks. And, if you happen to come across a treasure map, you better believe we’re all coming with you.
