New York City Ballet

The New York City Ballet is a world-renowned dance company based in the Big Apple. Founded in 1948 by George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein, this company is known for its precise technique and artistic innovation.

The dancers of the New York City Ballet are known for their grace, poise, and ability to dance in pointe shoes without falling on their faces. Some of the company’s most famous dancers include Misty Copeland, Sara Mearns, and Justin Bieber (just kidding, he can’t dance).

The company’s repertoire ranges from classical ballets, such as “Swan Lake” and “The Nutcracker,” to modern works that involve dancers flinging themselves around the stage like rag dolls on meth.

The New York City Ballet is also famous for its annual production of “The Nutcracker” at the Lincoln Center. This festive ballet is beloved by audiences of all ages, thanks in part to the giant mouse king that chases the Nutcracker around the stage with a giant hunk of cheese (okay, maybe that’s just in our dream version of the show).

If you’re ever in New York City, be sure to catch a performance by the New York City Ballet. It’s an experience that’s sure to leave you feeling inspired, awe-struck, and slightly jealous of the dancers’ killer abs.
