Vatican City
Vatican City is a teeny, tiny, itsy-bitsy little city-state that is famous for being the smallest country in the world. It is also home to the Pope, who is kind of like the king, except he doesn’t wear a crown and he’s not allowed to get married.
At Vatican City, you can visit St. Peter’s Basilica, which is a big and fancy church that was named after a guy named Peter, who is said to be the first pope. Back in the day, Peter used to catch fish for a living, but now people come from all over the world to see his big church instead.
If you’re lucky, you might even get to see the Pope himself! He’s kind of like a celebrity, but not the type that hangs out in Hollywood. The Pope wears a big, pointy hat and really fancy robes, and sometimes he even waves to the crowds.
But don’t be fooled by all the fancy clothes and impressive buildings. At the end of the day, the people of Vatican City are just like you and me. They eat pizza, watch TV, and enjoy a good joke just as much as the next person.
So if you’re ever in the mood for a small adventure, why not take a trip to Vatican City? Who knows, you might even get to high-five the Pope. Just try not to get too starstruck.
