Airbus A320neo

The Airbus A320neo or “new engine option” is an aircraft that brings a whole new meaning to the word “neon.” Okay, not really. But it is pretty cool.

The A320neo is an updated version of the A320, which was first introduced back in 1984 (before some of us even existed…). The original A320 was a great plane, but the neo takes things to a whole new level.

For starters, the neo has new engines. And let’s face it, new engines are one of the most exciting things in the world of aviation. The Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines on the neo are super fuel-efficient, which means they’re great for the environment and for airlines’ bottom lines. The neo also has something called “sharklets.” No, these are not actual sharks that have been trained to fly planes (although that would be pretty cool too).
