Alberta, also known as the Wild West of Canada, is located in the western part of Canada. It is home to the Banff National Park, which boasts stunning natural scenery that will make you forget all your troubles.

History has it that Alberta was named after a woman named Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria. This princess was so taken with the landscape of Alberta that she begged to have it named after her. Talk about having delusions of grandeur!

Alberta is a province of extremes. It has the highest per capita rate of cowboys and oil barons in the world. When it comes to sports, Albertans are obsessed with both hockey and curling – a game that involves sweeping the ice with brooms.

One of the most interesting things about Alberta is that it is home to the world’s largest dinosaur. This bad boy stands at 86 feet tall and is named the “Tylosaurus”. And don’t worry, it won’t come to life and start gobbling people up.

The Rocky Mountains, which straddle the Alberta and British Columbia border, offer some of the most breathtaking sceneries in the world.
