Arabic Language

Arabic language is the official language of 26 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region. It is a beautiful language that has been around for centuries and is known for its complex grammar and pronunciation rules.

If you’re ever in the Middle East, you’ll get to experience the joy of trying to read Arabic street signs while dodging traffic. And if you’re lucky, locals might teach you some common Arabic phrases like “Ahlan wa sahlan” which means “Welcome” or “Shukran” which means “Thank you”.

But beware, Arabic can sometimes be quite confusing. For example, the letter “ha” can be pronounced as a harsh “h” or a softer “kh” sound, depending on the region you’re in. And don’t even get us started on the difficulty of writing Arabic script from right to left.

In the Arabian Gulf countries, you might hear a lot of slang words that are unique to that region. Words like “tabbi” which means “give me” or “yallah” which means “let’s go” are commonly used. And if you want to impress Gulf locals, try saying “Inshallah” after every sentence which means “God willing”. It doesn’t matter if it makes sense or not, just trust us.

Overall, Arabic language is a fascinating and quirky language that will keep you on your toes. Don’t be afraid to try it out, and who knows, maybe one day you’ll be able to understand the Arabic commentary during a football match. #LanguageGoals.
