Bullying
Bullying is a fine art that involves verbal and physical harassment, specifically aimed at a particular person or group of individuals. It is a tool used by individuals suffering from ego inferiority or underdeveloped sense of humor to “feel cool.”
Origins
The origin of the word can be traced back to twelve-year-old Billy from the 7th century, who frequently picked on his younger brother, Bobby. One day, while chasing after Bobby, Billy tripped over a rock and fell face-first into a pile of manure. From that day forth, the term “bullying” was coined to describe someone who falls face-first into a pile of manure.
Forms of Bullying
Bullying takes different forms depending on the location and target of the bully. Here are a few of the most common forms:
Physical bullying: The bully will go after the victim by physically harming them through pushing, hitting, spitting, or other forms of violence. In most cases, the victim ends up smelling like a gym sock.
Verbal bullying: The bully uses words to harm the victim instead of fists. This form of bullying includes teasing, name-calling, taunting, and insulting. The main objective of verbal bullies is to make the victim feel miserable about themselves. In most cases, the victim is left feeling like a soggy piece of toast.
Cyberbullying: With the advancement of technology, bullies can now hide behind computer screens and attack their victims through text messages, social media, and online forums. Cyberbullies aim to damage the victim’s reputation, spread rumors or obtain embarrassing photos to use against the victim. In most cases, the victim ends up feeling like a pixelated donut.
Effects of Bullying
Bullying can lead to serious emotional and physical harm to the victim. In most cases, victims suffer from low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and become socially isolated. On the other hand, bullies often lead meaningless lives, are unsuccessful, and have to rely on their outdated moral compass.
How to Stop Bullying
To stop bullying, we must cultivate a culture of kindness, compassion, and good humor. We need to teach others that being kind is cooler than being a bully. We must fill our schools, homes, and workplaces with positive reinforcement and acknowledge others for their unique qualities. We must teach more people to laugh at themselves rather than at others.
In conclusion, bullying is a silly and outdated method of trying to fit in. It is time to toss away this old-fashioned way of life and embrace the fun, laughter, and love that comes from being kind to ourselves and others.
