CTV Sci-Fi Channel

The CTV Sci-Fi channel, formerly known as Space, is a Canadian specialty channel dedicated to all things science fiction and fantasy. It has been the go-to channel for Canadians who want to escape reality and travel to far-off worlds filled with aliens, robots, and the occasional dragon.

Despite having a smaller audience than other CTV channels, such as CTV Comedy and CTV Drama, the CTV Sci-Fi channel has a dedicated following of nerds, geeks, and sci-fi enthusiasts who proudly display their love for the genre with action figures, cosplay, and elaborate fan theories.

At the heart of the CTV Sci-Fi channel is its programming, which includes classic sci-fi shows like Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Battlestar Galactica, as well as newer shows like The Expanse, Wynonna Earp, and Killjoys. The channel also airs original programming, such as the Canadian sci-fi hit Orphan Black and the mind-bending thriller Dark Matter.

However, the channel is not without its flaws. Many Canadians complain about the repeated airing of the same shows and movies, as well as the channel’s tendency to cancel beloved shows without giving them a proper ending (cough Stargate Universe cough).

But despite its flaws, the CTV Sci-Fi channel remains a beloved staple in the Canadian television landscape. Where else can you watch a group of misfits save the universe while battling evil cyborgs, time-traveling villains, and intergalactic bureaucrats?

So the next time you’re feeling bored and need a break from reality, grab some popcorn, turn on the CTV Sci-Fi channel, and prepare to be transported to a world of wonder, adventure, and maybe even a little bit of cheesy special effects. Live long and prosper!
