Indianapolis

Indianapolis, also known as Indy, is a city located in the heart of the Hoosier state, where the streets are paved with limestone and the state bird is a basketball.

History has it that the city was founded in 1821 and named after a Native American term meaning “Land of never-ending construction”. This is because since then, the city has been in a constant state of roadwork, causing many locals to develop a unique skill set in dodging orange cones and lane closures.

Notable attractions in the city include the Indy 500, where people gather to watch cars drive in circles for hours while pretending they understand the rules of the race. There is also the Children’s Museum, one of the largest museums in the world where children can learn about science, art, and how to avoid touching anything with sticky hands.

For those looking for a more cultural experience, there is the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library, dedicated to the famous Hoosier author and his satirical view on life.

The city is also home to some of the best food options in the Midwest, including the renowned breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, which we can only assume was created during a time of desperation when someone accidentally dropped their pork chop in a bag of flour.

Indianapolis is a city that prides itself on being a welcoming and friendly place for all, as long as you don’t root for the opposing team during a Colts game.

So come visit Indianapolis, where the streets are smooth, the people are friendly, and there’s always a construction project just around the corner.
