Mickey Mouse, known as the most popular cartoon character, is a funny animal cartoon character created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1928. He made his first debut in the animated short film “Steamboat Willie”. The big-eared, short-tailed, little black rodent is a beloved symbol of the Walt Disney Company.

However, it wasn’t right from the start. Originally the character for Mickey Mouse was named Mortimer Mouse, but Walt Disney’s wife Lillian talked him out of the name, as it didn’t sound likeable too much.
