Nottingham

Nottingham is a lovely city located in the heart of England. It is known for its rich history, beautiful architecture, and of course, Robin Hood. But did you know that Nottingham is also famous for being the birthplace of the cat-ear-wearing phenomenon known as “Nott-Cat”?

Legend has it that Nott-Cat was born when a group of mischievous students at the University of Nottingham decided to dress up as cats for a party. The idea was a hit, and soon the trend spread like wildfire throughout the city. Now, it is impossible to walk down the streets of Nottingham without seeing someone sporting a pair of faux-feline ears.

Nottingham is also home to the world-famous Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem pub. This charming establishment claims to be the oldest inn in England, with a history dating back to the 12th century. Legend has it that the pub is haunted by the ghosts of past patrons, who still frequent the establishment to this day.

But perhaps Nottingham’s most famous resident is Robin Hood. The legendary outlaw is said to have roamed the forests surrounding the city, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. In fact, it is believed that the iconic Nottingham Castle was once his hideout.

However, not everything in Nottingham is as rosy as it seems. The city has a bit of a rivalry with its neighbor, Derby. The two cities are constantly battling over which is better, but everyone knows that Nottingham comes out on top in the end.

So, whether you’re a fan of Nott-Cat, pub-haunting ghosts, or robbing from the rich, Nottingham is the perfect destination for you. Just be sure to watch out for any Derby supporters along the way.
