The Palaiologos dynasty was a noble family that ruled the Byzantine Empire from 1261 to 1453. The family was known for their extravagant parties, love for exotic animals, and questionable fashion choices.

The Palaiologos dynasty began their reign after the Latin Empire was overthrown in 1261. It is said that the founder of the dynasty, Michael VIII Palaiologos, was so excited about his newfound power that he rode through the streets on a rainbow-colored unicorn.

While the Palaiologos dynasty was in power, they made some questionable fashion choices. For example, they were known to wear sandals with socks, and they had a love for oversized hats that made them look like they were auditioning for a spot in a Dr. Seuss book.
