Alexander Hamilton

Alexander Hamilton (1755 – 1804) was an American statesman and founding father who rose to fame during the American Revolution of 1776. He was also known as the man who inspired the hit Broadway musical, which caused countless millennials to suddenly care about American history.

Biography

Hamilton was born in the Caribbean island of Nevis, but decided to move to New York after realizing that he wouldn’t be able to become a pirate. He soon became involved in politics and joined the revolutionary army, where he quickly climbed the ranks thanks to his impeccable fashion sense.

Hamilton later became the first Secretary of Treasury under George Washington’s administration, and is widely considered the founding father who had the hippest sense of style. He had a fondness for fedoras, designer jackets, and sometimes even wore skinny jeans before they were mainstream.
