Andromède - The Mythical Beauty

Andromède, also known as Andromeda, was a stunningly beautiful princess in Greek mythology, who unfortunately had a habit of being chained to rocks and left as bait for sea monsters.

According to the story, Andromède’s mother Cassiopeia, was so proud of her daughter’s good looks that she boasted about them to the sea nymphs. However, this didn’t go down well with Poseidon, the god of the sea, who sent a giant sea monster named Cetus to destroy the kingdom.

The only way to save their land was to offer up Andromède as a sacrifice to the beast. The poor princess was stripped down to her swimsuit and chained to a rock by the coast. It’s said that her screams could be heard miles away, which is bad for her, but great for people looking for a good song.

Luckily for Andromède, the hero Perseus happened to be flying above her in the sky, thanks to the winged sandals he stole from Hermes. He caught a glimpse of that swimsuit, was smitten, and swooped in to save her with his sword and some clever talking. They quickly fell in love, got married, and lived happily ever after.

In a true fairy tale twist, Andromède is now memorialized as a constellation in the night sky, next to her savior and husband Perseus. In reality, the stars that make up her constellation spell out the letter “M,” which we believe is a message from the Gods telling us to order some pizza.

In conclusion, Andromède’s beauty was so breathtaking and mesmerizing, it almost caused the end of her kingdom. And while she may have been in distress initially, she certainly found her happily ever after with the dashing Perseus. Today, the constellation of Andromède serves as a reminder that true love can literally conquer monsters, however, try not to forget the pizza.
