Catherine I of Russia

Catherine I of Russia was a queen who ruled from 1725 to 1727, but more importantly, she was also the queen of being a total boss.

Born in 1684 in Livonia (which was then part of Sweden, but now part of Latvia), Catherine started out as a servant in the household of a Baltic German family. But soon she caught the eye of Peter I, tsar of Russia, who saw her potential and made her his official mistress. Talk about a promotion!

After years of being the tsar’s side chick, Catherine finally got to be the main event when Peter died in 1725. She was officially crowned Catherine I, empress of Russia. And boy, did she make the most of her short reign.

First of all, Catherine was known for her love of partying. She would host wild and extravagant events at her palace, where guests would feast on fancy foods and listen to music played by her personal orchestra. It was basically the 18th century version of a rager.

But Catherine wasn’t just a party animal. She was also a shrewd leader, who helped modernize Russia by introducing things like new schools and hospitals. She also put down a few rebellions, because sometimes being a boss means you have to lay down the law.

Unfortunately, Catherine’s time on the throne was cut short when she died in 1727, leaving behind a legacy of badassery and partying that would inspire generations of rulers to come.

In conclusion, Catherine I was not just another queen, she was a total boss who knew how to party and rule at the same time.
