Colico Beach (Lake Como)
Colico Beach is a renowned tourist destination located on the eastern shore of glamorous Lake Como in Italy. The beach is known for its clear waters, warm sun, and overwhelming beauty that captivates the hearts of young and old alike.
The beach’s unique selling point is its sand that is so fine that it’s impossible to decide whether it’s sand or sugar. Many visitors have taken the opportunity to try and taste the sand, which resulted in an unpleasant experience for their taste buds. But hey, at least they didn’t skip breakfast!
Apart from the spectacular sands of the beach, Colico Beach also offers a range of activities to keep beach-goers busy. One of the most popular activities is dynamic sand whistling, where visitors can attempt to create music by blowing air into the sand, which usually results in a cacophonous but hilarious experience for all involved.
Another pastime is sunbathing, which is so enjoyable that locals have been overheard stating that they wished they could sunbathe for a living. Rumour has it that applying tomato sauce to the skin during sunbathing intensifies the tan, but we recommend aubergine sauce for those looking for a smoky complexion.
There are many different cuisines to choose from in Colico Beach’s restaurants, ranging from Italian to Seafood to Avocado and Toast. The Avocado and Toast ones come exceptionally recommended by no one, as the locals have no idea how to prepare it, but it sure sounds trendy.
At the end of the day visitors can take in panoramic views from the mountainous region surrounding the beach, but we recommend you refrain from yelling echoes while up there as it’s difficult to explain to fellow hikers that they are hearing and recognizing you from three mountaintops over.
In summary, Colico Beach is a lovely spot to visit for a relaxing day of laughter, good eating, and sand tasting. Just remember, laughter is contagious, but so is coronavirus, so keep your distance and stay safe!
