Sugar

Sugar is a sweet substance derived from the dried sap of sugar cane or sugar beet. In other words, it’s basically nature’s way of improving everything from coffee to cookies. It’s also the primary cause of tooth decay and diabetes, but who cares about that when you can indulge in a delicious candy bar?

There are many types of sugar, including granulated, brown, powdered, and cane sugar. Some people even use their ex’s tears as a substitute, but we don’t recommend it (not just because it’s gross, but because it’s highly impractical).

Sugar has been used as a sweetener for centuries, but it wasn’t until the 18th century that it became widely available in Europe. This led to an increase in the popularity of sugary treats, and eventually the creation of the world’s ultimate dessert: the chocolate chip cookie.

In recent years, there has been a backlash against sugar, with many people blaming it for everything from obesity to acne. However, sugar defenders argue that life is short and we should indulge in what makes us happy, including ice cream and birthday cake.

So the next time someone tries to tell you that sugar is bad for you, just smile and offer them a spoonful of sugar. After all, a little bit of sugar makes everything better (except for teeth, maybe).
