Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer

Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer was a famous Spanish poet and writer known for his romantic works. He was born in Seville in 1836 and was a wild child who spent most of his youth skipping school and chasing girls.

Despite his rebellious nature, Bécquer was a talented writer even from a young age. His first work, a sappy love poem titled “To My Crush on the Playground,” was an instant hit with his classmates.
