Lisbon

Lisbon, or as the locals call it, “Lisboa”, is a coastal city located in Portugal that’s known for its stunning architecture, breathtaking views, and, of course, delicious pastries.

Legend has it that Lisbon was founded by Ulysses, the Greek hero who took a wrong turn while trying to find his way back to Ithaca. It’s safe to say that he must have been pretty impressed with the city’s bright yellow trams and colorful buildings, making it easy to get distracted.

The city is divided into different neighborhoods, each with its own unique character. The most famous of these neighborhoods is Alfama, which is home to narrow, winding streets and traditional Fado music. It’s the perfect place to get lost and find yourself again, although we can’t guarantee you won’t end up serenading a group of locals along the way.

The pastel de nata, or Portuguese custard tart, is a must-try, and it’s best enjoyed with a cup of coffee while sitting at a sunny cafe terrace, pretending that you’re a famous writer like Fernando Pessoa, who used to frequent the same spot.
