Mario - The Plumber Who Could Jump Higher Than Anyone Else

Mario, also known as Super Mario to his fans, is a fictional character and the main protagonist in the video game franchise bearing his name. He has been entertaining gamers since way back in 1985 when he first appeared in the game “Super Mario Bros.” for the Nintendo Entertainment System. His creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, once said that his appearance was based on a real-life Italian plumber. We can only assume that this plumber was also adept at jumping on turtles and eating mushrooms to grow in size.
