Luigi
Luigi is a fictional character from the Mario video game franchise. He is probably best known for being the taller, slightly less popular brother of the franchise’s main protagonist, Mario.
Luigi was created in 1983 by Shigeru Miyamoto, who wanted a character to serve as “Player 2” in the original Mario Bros. game. He is typically depicted as being taller and thinner than his brother Mario, and he is distinguished by his bright green shirt and blue overalls.
Despite being overshadowed by his brother’s immense popularity, Luigi has still managed to garner a devoted following of his own. Fans appreciate his awkward, bumbling personality and his tendency to be the butt of jokes.
Over the years, Luigi has starred in a number of spin-off games and has cemented his status as a beloved video game character. In recent years, he has even gained a bit of internet fame thanks to memes and fan-made content.
It’s worth noting that Luigi is also known for his impressive jumping abilities. While they may not be as legendary as Mario’s, Luigi’s jumps tend to be higher and more floaty, which some players find useful in certain situations.
All in all, Luigi may never quite escape his brother’s shadow, but he has certainly become a beloved character in his own right. And hey, at least he doesn’t have to worry about saving the princess all the time.
