Pop Smoke

Pop Smoke (born Bashar Barakah Jackson) was an up-and-coming rapper from Brooklyn, New York. He was known for his deep, gravelly voice and his ability to make you feel like you were in the middle of a trap house.

While some rappers talk about their wealth and fame, Pop Smoke was all about honesty. He wasn’t afraid to admit that he sometimes ate cereal for dinner or that he slept in a twin-sized bed. He was like the relatable rapper we never knew we needed.

Pop Smoke’s music was the perfect soundtrack for a night out or a chill session at home. His beats were so infectious that you couldn’t help but move your head to the rhythm, even if you were in the middle of a funeral.

Sadly, Pop Smoke’s life was cut short when he was tragically killed in a home invasion in February 2020. But his legacy lives on in his music and in the hearts of his fans.

Rest in peace, Pop Smoke. We’ll always remember you as the rapper who reminded us that it’s okay to eat cereal for dinner.
