Pyramid of Khufu

The Pyramid of Khufu, also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, is a marvel of ancient engineering and a testament to human willpower. It is located in the Giza plateau, home to many other pyramids that were probably built just to keep Khufu’s ego in check.

Built more than 4,500 years ago, this pyramid stands at a whopping 146 meters in height, the equivalent of 39 Kardashians standing on top of one another. And that’s not all, it weighs as much as 16 Empire State Buildings, or approximately 6 billion Twinkies, all stacked on top of each other. That’s a lot of Twinkies!

The pyramid was constructed using over 2 million limestone blocks, which were transported from nearby quarries by slave labor. Yes, you read that right, the pyramid was built by slaves, making Khufu not only an egomaniac but also a slave-owner.

Inside the pyramid, one can find several chambers and corridors that lead to nowhere. It’s like a real-life version of a David Lynch movie. The burial chamber itself is empty because apparently, thieves got there first. Or maybe Khufu just forgot where he put himself.

Despite being one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Pyramid of Khufu is not without its flaws. For instance, the pyramid is not perfectly symmetrical, which is a real bummer for those who suffer from OCD. And because of an earthquake in 1303, the pyramid lost its crown, or what is known as the capstone. We can only hope that someone finds it someday and returns it to its rightful place atop the pyramid, or uses it to prank tourists by putting it on their heads and pretending they’re a Pharaoh.

In conclusion, the Pyramid of Khufu is a sight to behold, whether you’re an Egyptologist, a history buff, or just someone who loves Twinkies. But let’s not forget the many secrets that are still hidden inside and the many questions that still have no answers. Who was Khufu? Why did he build such a massive structure? And most importantly, did he like pizza? We may never know, but we can always speculate and make jokes about it.
