Edmund Kemper, also known as “The Co-ed Killer,” is a person who did some really crazy stuff 😱. He was born on December 18, 1948, in Burbank, California. Don’t let his innocent-sounding name fool you; his actions were far from innocent!

As a child, Kemper showed some very peculiar behaviors. He loved playing with his sister’s dolls… but not in the normal way. No, he used to decapitate them! 🪓 Talk about gruesome playdates! He also enjoyed killing the family cat, just for fun. Me-ouch! 🙀

Kemper’s real rise to “fame” began in the 1970s when he went on a killing spree like no other. He targeted young college women, earning him his truly charming nickname, “The Co-ed Killer.” Not the kind of killer you’d want to invite to your next frat party! 🎉

One might think that Kemper’s stint with psychologists would have helped him turn over a new leaf 🍃, but no such luck! In fact, he abused his knowledge of psychology to lure his victims into his car, where he would later end their lives in horrific ways, such as by dismemberment 🪓. It’s like he had a real axe to grind! 💔

Arrest and Imprisonment #jail

The party eventually had to come to an end for Kemper, thankfully. He was finally captured and convicted of eight murders. No more late-night slumber parties for him! 😴 He is currently serving eight concurrent life sentences in a cozy little cell 🏠, where he spends his days regretting his actions and probably wishing he had played with Legos instead.
