Michelle Obama
Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama (born January 17, 1964) is an American lawyer, writer, and the wife of former President Barack Obama. She was the First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and the ultimate boss lady.
Early Life
Michelle grew up in Chicago with her parents and her older brother, Craig. She was a bright and ambitious student, but she was frequently annoyed by her brother’s “know-it-all” attitude. She once said, “I used to tell him, ‘Craig, you might be the smartest person in the family, but you’re not the only one with a brain.’”
Education
Michelle attended Princeton University and graduated with a degree in sociology. She then went on to attend Harvard Law School, where she met a young man named Barack Obama who would eventually ask her to be his partner in life and politics.
Career
Michelle worked as a lawyer and then moved on to work in public service. In 2008, her husband won the presidential election and Michelle became the First Lady of the United States. She used her position to promote healthy living and education, but also made sure to slip in some dance moves now and then.
