Teacher

A teacher is a highly skilled and trained individual who has the thankless job of shaping the minds of the future generation. They are typically found in schools, universities, and occasionally in a parent’s basement (home-schooling can get weird sometimes).

Teachers possess a vast array of superpowers including the ability to grade stacks of papers in record time, recite the Pythagorean theorem in their sleep, and diffuse a classroom full of rowdy fifth-graders with just a stern look.

Despite their impressive powers, teachers are often underappreciated and underpaid. They spend countless hours after school creating lesson plans and grading assignments, all while dealing with the constant barrage of “Can we have a snack?” and “Johnny keeps flicking boogers at me.”

In addition to their daily duties, teachers are also tasked with keeping up with the latest educational trends like STEM, STEAM, and STREAM (I’m pretty sure someone just threw Scrabble tiles at a wall and made it a thing).

But even with all of this on their plate, teachers still find the time to add a touch of humor to their lessons. Who knew that learning about photosynthesis could be so punny?

So the next time you see a teacher, be sure to thank them for all they do. Or better yet, buy them a dusty “World’s Best Teacher” mug from the clearance aisle at Target. It’s the least we can do for these everyday heroes.
