Vampire
A vampire is a mythical creature believed to suck blood from the living. According to legends (and Twilight), vampires have fangs that are sharper than a pencil, eyes that sparkle like the diamond, and skin that stays pale all year long (perfect for the winter season).
The idea of vampires may seem cool and mysterious, but in reality, they are just blood-thirsty creatures that can’t step into sunlight without turning into a pile of ashes. So much for being glamorous.
Although vampires do have a lot of powers, such as super strength and the ability to fly, they also have weaknesses. They hate garlic (which makes them seem more like picky eaters), can’t enter a home without being invited (rude much?), and are terrified of crosses and holy water (they should seriously consider getting over their fear of hygiene).
Historically, the mythology of vampires originated from various cultures, such as Slavic and Romanian. But it wasn’t until Bram Stoker wrote “Dracula” that the modern-day version of vampire was created. Since then, vampires have become a staple in entertainment, from movies to TV shows to books.
In conclusion, if you ever find yourself face-to-face with a vampire, be sure to have some garlic sauce and a crucifix handy. Because let’s be honest – who wants to be sucked dry by a pale, sparkly creature with a toothy grin?
