Luigi’s Mansion 3: The Haunted Guide to Ghostbusting
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a thrilling video game that follows the floppy-hatted Luigi (Mario’s less famous sibling) on his ghost-hunting adventures through a haunted hotel. After all, we’ve all wondered what happens when Mario goes to save the princess yet again – what does Luigi do with his spare time? Well, now we know.
##The Haunted Hotel
The hotel that Luigi ends up in isn’t your typical Hilton or Marriot. Not only is it haunted by ghosts, but it’s also owned by a spidery, one-eyed crocodile called Hellen Gravely. If you’re not immediately put off by this, then you’re made of sterner stuff than I am. Hellen Gravely is a moderately friendly host, but her doorman in the lobby is a bloody rat with a tuxedo (I’m not kidding), so good luck with that.
##The Ghosts
As you might expect in a game called Luigi’s Mansion 3, there are a lot of ghosts around. There are the usual speccy green ghosts who give you a mild electric shock when you try to vacuum them up, and there are also some really creepy red ghosts that can possess whatever furniture they fancy. It’s like Poltergeist meets Ikea.
As well as these, there are also metal ghosts that you have to use hammers to defeat and ghosts with shields that you need to use light to break down. It’s kind of like Pokemon - you’ve got to catch them all.
##The Tools
To help Luigi in his ghostly endeavours, he has a new and improved Poltergust 3000 – a kind of portable vacuum that can suck up ghosts, furniture, and debris, and also blow things around the room. There’s also the Dark Light – a special flashlight that can uncover hidden paths and objects.
##The Bosses
As with any good video game, there are some impressive bosses to beat. These include a giant dragon ghost that tries to crush you with its tail, a DJ ghost that attacks you with music notes, and a giant monster made of sand that throws boulders at you. You really wouldn’t want to run into any of these guys in a dark alley – or a brightly lit one, for that matter.
##The Conclusion
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a fun, slightly twisted take on the classic ghostbusting game. With its entertaining storyline, challenging boss battles, and creative ghost designs, it’s sure to keep even the most avid gamers entertained. Just don’t try to play it alone in the dark – or you might have some ghostly company.
