Nintendo: The Company that Made Childhood Memorable
Nintendo is a Japanese multinational video game company founded in 1889… Just kidding, it was actually founded in 1889 as a playing cards manufacturer, but who cares about that?
Nintendo is known for producing some of the most exciting and addictive video games of all time. Who didn’t spend hours playing Super Mario Bros on their GameBoy Advance or trying to master the moves in Super Smash Bros?
The company has also given us iconic characters like Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Kirby. We all know Mario as a plumber who loves to jump on turtles, collect coins, and rescue his princess. But let’s be real, he’s just a middle-aged man who wears the same outfit every day and can’t keep a steady job.
Zelda, on the other hand, is a princess who always needs rescuing. Maybe instead of waiting for a hero to save her, she should invest in some self-defense classes or just wear less green.
Donkey Kong is a giant gorilla who throws barrels at his enemies. Who knew that throwing barrels could be a career? We should all take notes.
And then there’s Kirby, a pink ball who sucks up everything in sight. Don’t let his cute appearance fool you, he’s a hungry monster who will eat anything and everything.
Nintendo’s consoles have also come a long way. From the 8-bit graphics of the NES to the high-definition graphics of the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo has always been at the forefront of innovation in the gaming industry.
Let’s face it, without Nintendo, our childhoods would have been pretty boring. Thank you, Nintendo, for giving us an escape from reality, amazing memories, and hours of frustration when we couldn’t beat that one level.
