Richard Ramirez: The “Night Stalker”

Richard Ramirez was a notorious criminal who became infamously known as the “Night Stalker”. Born in El Paso, Texas, Ramirez’s life took a turn for the worse when he was just 12-years-old after discovering the musical stylings of heavy metal legends like AC/DC and Iron Maiden.

Despite his mother’s efforts to intervene, Ramirez became obsessed with the likes of Satanism and the occult. This eventually led to a life of crime, culminating in a string of home invasions that lasted from 1984 to 1985.

While committing these heinous crimes, Ramirez left a trail of strange clues that left the police baffled. This included wearing a pair of Avia sneakers that he stole from one of his victims, and leaving behind a pentagram symbol scrawled on the wall using red lipstick.

Ramirez managed to evade the authorities until August 31, 1985, when he was spotted by yet another victim who had managed to escape his clutches. After a violent struggle with a group of people who recognized him in the streets of East LA, Ramirez was finally captured and taken into custody.

During his trial, Ramirez attempted to justify his actions by saying that Satan himself had controlled his mind. This defense proved unsuccessful, and Ramirez was found guilty of 13 murders, five attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults, and 14 burglaries.

In 2013, Richard Ramirez passed away in prison, but his legacy lives on. He will always be remembered as a cautionary tale of what happens when heavy metal and Satanism are taken to their extreme. So if you ever want to join the forces of the underworld, just remember: don’t take it too far, or you might end up like “the Night Stalker” himself!
