Western Lowland Gorilla 🦍

The Western Lowland Gorilla, also known as the party animal of the jungle, is a species of gorilla found in the dense forests of Central and West Africa.

Appearance

These hilarious primates have brown-to-dark-grey hair with a reddish tinge. Males can weigh up to 400 pounds and stand at 5.5 feet tall, while females are a more modest 200 pounds and 4 feet tall.

Diet

Don’t let their size fool you, these guys love their greens! Their diet consists of fruits, leaves, shoots, and, let’s be honest, the occasional bug or two. They also have a particular affinity for ripe bananas and have been known to steal them from unsuspecting tourists.

Behavior
