Crete

Crete is an island located in the eastern Mediterranean Sea and is the largest and most populated island in Greece. Its history dates back to the Bronze Age, when the Minoan civilization was in full swing.

Legend has it that the island was visited by Zeus, the Greek god of thunder, who fell in love with a mortal woman named Europa. He transformed himself into a bull to trick her into riding on his back, then swam across the sea to Crete where he revealed his true form and made love to Europa. Talk about a romantic getaway!

Legend has it that the recipe was first created by a group of Minotaurs who were tired of eating raw meat all the time.

According to legend, the palace was home to the Minotaur - a creature with the head of a bull and the body of a man. The Minotaur was said to have been trapped in a labyrinth beneath the palace, and was only defeated by the hero Theseus who came up with a clever plan involving a ball of string.

In more recent times, Crete has become a popular tourist destination, attracting travelers from all over the world who come to experience its beautiful beaches, stunning landscapes, and rich culture. It’s also become a popular destination for bachelor and bachelorette parties, with groups of rowdy tourists descending on the island to party it up like they’re in a scene from The Hangover.
